Greetings on Erni's Day, from one of IUOMA's 547 'active' members to another of them.....

Latest news and report from the 'Birthday Analysis':

Today's Headline News: predicted 'Active' Membership falls for the 5th day running to an all time low of 547 -- less than 17% of the nominal IUOMA membership.

Mail Art history will be made in Hamburg at 09.30 today when one Mail Artist (Erni Bar) presents himself at the local Police Station to defend himself against charges made against him by another Mail Artist.

Who is Erni's accuser? All should be clear later today. 10 January, could well be Erni's last day of freedom. We're with you, Erni! From the French barricades rings out the cry, "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité et Arte Postale!

I was going to reading it in a mirror, but don't have a Greek mirror in the house.

So, er...thanks??

Hi! Concerning the Birthday Analysis of IUOMA members here is:

Today's News: Basically -- no change, with 'active' Membership hovering about 570; This could well be Erni's last day of freedom (but provisions have been made for that in this analysis -- see the note below for 10 January). We're with you, Erni! From the French barricades rings out the cry, "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité et Arte Postale!"

What is the Greek equivalent of that rousing cry for freedom of Mail Art expression?

Shout it loud and clear. Thank you.

C'est moi! It's a tribute to Phil Everly who died at the weekend. The collage is called 'Hairstyles', because circa, 1960, Don'n'Phil'n'Val had very similiar hairstyles. Two of these guys became very famous, and two are still alive. Yes, the Evs were very influential, and were really the first to sing harmonised rock. I only ever managed to play two tunes on the piano -- Handel's 'Water Music', and the Evs  'Tile I kised ya'. I saw them in concert twice -- one in London, the other time in Maastricht. RIP Phil

Interesting that you don't know why you were attacked, I have never seen anything obnoxious or offensive coming from your kitchen.

I have already withdrawn from most groups on the IUOMA and would quite happily have retired completely had it not been for Filipetti's wonderful 'Blue Roads' group.  But all these current shenanigans are giving grist to my intention of quitting the IUOMA in May although the real reason for my retirement is because I want to do something else.  I am also going to reduce the amount of snail-mail I do.

There is an expression doing the rounds at the moment "Don't sweat the small stuff." Don't sweat the small stuff Kate.

I got this by email today:
"When people start to fight publically it might be time to just close IUOMA. This is not where I made it for."
The link brought me to the main page of this site wher I did not find anything about a fight.
Is it a hacker or there really has been a fight I do not know of?

I am sure you would have known of it so please reasure me all is well, Katerina. The shutting down of IUOMA is inconceivable!

Hi Kat,
Thank you for the wonderful Birthday card. I received it yesterday ( but opened it at breakfast, this morning). Apparently, I also share a Birthday with Edith Piaf as well :)
Wishing you a very happy holiday season and new year.

Hi Katrina, thank you for the Happy Birthday IUOMA card. The Sorcerer's Apprentice? Did you know that I live around the corner from Disneyland? That mouse is one of the noisiest neighbors I've ever had . . . although, it is fun to go over and play at his house, so there's a bit of a trade-off on the bad neighbor thing  :]
