Eating good food and enjoying it around the table with friends is certainly a beautiful way of meeting, indeed. It would be a pleasure.
In this area there are as many varieties of sausages as there are of beers. Very typical from Munich are the white sausages(weisswurst, made with veal), tradition wants you to eat them with your hands, before noon(this unwritten law comes from the times when there was not electric cooling) without the skin and dipped in a sweet mustard, with a breze and a weizenbier(wheat beer) and....If you survive all that......well, you can also yodel...lol
I have tasted many dishes for curiosity but I have to watch out otherwise I’ll roll down the hills, quite steep around these mountains...
Rod,
Thanx for the Mail Art Olympix material, I really like the aimless fishing series.
You'd like it here in BC, lots (and I mean lots) of bald eagles, crows and ravens, great blue herons, loons, Canada geese, and artic and mute swans. Birdsville. And that's just looking out the windows of my house.
Hope all is well.
Yours, Ed
Oh yes, hearty meals in generous portions..but I love the sweets. Towering slices of scrumpalicious decadent cakes and whipped cream…
All of Bavaria is beautiful indeed . Starnberg is in the 5 lakes district, 20 minutes from Munich centre. It is like living inside a postcard. At times I do miss the big city chaos, though…;-)
Beautiful! Beautiful! Pineapples for pigeons!
Well, Rod, I am over at "Mail Art to the Moon",
just catching falling stars, etc. (and singing!)
Oh, but I still cannot hear THE song...dada shank...
I will wait til son returns from trip and
we'll give it a go on his Apple-Mac!
See ya,
Katerina
Hi Rod!
I checked the youtube videos...and really enjoyed them. Specially the Aimless Gardening series, great the broadcating bananas!and Cold Comfort! among the many...you must know that you have great audio stuff also in UbuWeb sound, do you? I found it out while looking for the youtube you indicated me...
Kalimera Rod,
oh noooo, my little laptop here at the seaside is not strong enough to let me "hear" your artistic endeavors. But tomorrow night and Thursday, I have to be in the city, so I shall definitely "tune-in", maybe at YouTube...but I promise to give it a listen.
I so like your photos...dancing ducks on ice and all! I gave them to Aphrodite and SKETBE for the exhibit, they are "the limits!"...and beyond. (I did scan them to my home computer last week, so I secretly hord your artistic genius!)
Many thanks,
Kateriina
Yeah! Rod, many thanks...your great art stuff, including the dancing-on-ice-ducks, have all arrived in Thessaloniki for the SKETBE exhiibit. Aphrodite sends her greetings and thanks you for the things you sent her, too. I have up-dated the list of participants on :"my page". Now to see if I can hear that song..Mailart dada...
Read the text...like poetry!
Here at my seaside shack, I have only my
little laptop and the access to internet is
too weak to download songs-a-singin, dvd,
even most of the photos...sigh. Will have to
wait to enjoy when I get to my home computer
in the hot city (sometime in December? :~) Ha!)
Yes, Rod, send more art :~) Aphroditi is Secretary of SKETBE and has sent out many invitations, too. She was the organizer of the "Healthy Body/Healthy Mind" mini-mail-art exhibition in Stavroupolis back in 2002-2004 for the Olympics in Grece in 2004. We are hoping to see all your art work in Greece, now in Thessaloniki! Soooo like your "song" on your profile!
Thank you, Rod! Your art is on its way to sunny Greece by now!And what a beautiful photo! Iceland looks a bit "cold", but on a hot day like this in Greece, it is as good, if not better, than air conditioning! thanks!
Katerina
Yia sou Rod! Thanks for your friendship and we'll wait at SKETBE for your art! Yeah!...or should I say: HOPA!
Think about coming to Thessaloniki, Greece in December
for the exhibit and conference?
See ya,
Katerina
