Pollinators!
Bonjour!

...in pots on my terrace are lots of lavender plants, flowers, herbs and a honeysuckle tree or two. In previous years, they have been visited by lots of bees, butterflies and ladybirds.

Almost none of these have been seen this year -- and I haven't seen a bee on the lavender for a  couple of weeks now.

I read that the European bee population has been struck by a virus and is in danger. If what is happening, or rather not happening on my terrace is typical, then this is very true.

On my daily walks in the countryside with my friend's dog, there's hardly a butterfly around -- all the exotic, colourful and splendid ones have gone.

Alas.

Oh. Yes, I think I did say that in a discussion (I know not where). It meant I love IUOMA and respect how Ruud runs it.

Arty Slides: a great idea! I bought a bunch of those cardboard display squares for coins: similar to the 35mm slides, but with a round opening and clear plastic covering. I was going to make a series of objects and mount them in the coin squares, but I haven't figured out what to make yet...

Oh you didn't bore me at all.  I love to learn and hear what others say about a place "Darlington" where I live... I wonder how many other Darlington's are out there in the world and here in the USA.  I would love to swap some mail art with you, would you like to swap back with me?  Maybe something on "Darlington" Thanks for the history about your Darlington.  Now, I'll see what I can find about mine.  I lived here as long as I've been married...30 yrs... was born in NJ and parents came here to PA.

thank you :)  I looked at your website, and I like the concept of yours. I tried something similar but just made abstract forms.my favorite is Two LongTailed Sea Monsters Fighting- it has the most sense of action and nice design. We can exchange monster if youd like :)
