Martha--it's here. The Bluebird of happiness brought joy to my day! It is so exuberant-a reflection of your creative spirit!

I've been busy getting ready for Saturday's display at the Book Arts Jam and so have not been to the Post Office since Wednesday last week. I had a display at the Jam showcasing mail art that I received this year. Yours is there in the upper-third center of the display board. Read about my experience at this event . http://decordisart.blogspot.com/

Hi Martha,

sorry not to meet up with you and others!  I didn't reply hoping to pull it off at the last minute but not possible this time either.  Trust it was fun and inspiring.

Martha--your mail had not arrived as of Wed. past. I will let you know when it arrives. Mail across the pond usually takes 3-4 days. Eagerly awaiting your new efforts!

Martha--I'm looking forward to your 'analog' mail art. I'm trying digital art on my iPad using the Sensu brush on Paper 53 app. But nothing beats the real thing for me. What I sent you is a piece of a monotype upon which I used multiple techniques. One is 'chine colle' (collage). Textures are pieces of paper upon I applied gesso using a brush and gesso which was combed, then inked; finally the flower is an inkjet transfer. All this took multiple runs through an etching press. Needless to say, it took several sessions at the studio to accomplish all this. This is more than you probably want to know--but just to say don't despair--just have fun!

Hi Mail Art Martha--your mail arrived today. Thanks so much for helping to celebrate IUOMA's 25th--your card pulled it all together beautifully. It's been added to my IUOMA photo stream and will be blogged shortly at

Mail art will be coming your way soon.

Hi Mail Art Martha--your piece has until October 15th to wend its way across the pond. The Sept.  deadline was to save me from being inundated at the last minute. So don't worry! We are facing cutbacks to the mail service here too--no Saturday delivery is predicted. I'll be sure to give Patti your greeting.

Hi Mail Art Martha!--so good to hear from you and thanks for being a friend. Of course I remember you and your projects. I've been to your original blog and have seen the e-books. Found my mail art in them, so thank you for including my postcards. FYI: I know Patti Bristow-- we are in a book arts group together. The group organizes the Book Arts Jam at which I'm displaying mail art received this year (including yours).  I've posted the announcement postcard.

I'm delighted that you have sent something for my Call. Thank you and I'll see you in the mail.

I thought it was cute too. He's 9.  He probably wondered how someone could send someone candy wrappers with no candy, not realizing the trash is the candy to me:)

Your fabulous and delicious trashpo arrived. One of my daughter's friends was over and saw it and said "What's that?" I said==see all the candy wrappers and things--it's garbage from the UK.  He said "'That's weird ".  and walked away..  I guess us trashpoets are destined to not be understood----thanks for the great and inspired piece!

Thank you MAMartha. Your card is lovely. I like the T-shirt saying  about being out in the wind by the seaside. Yes, to that one! We had sun today after much rain. My garden looks wonderful! Hope it's sunny there tomorrow.

Very impressive, Martha! Apparently there is a London College of Pataphysics.

Pataphysics is likely an influence on other somewhat imaginary entities such as RJ's Correspondance School & Buddha University.
