Wonderful to hear letter-writer's news

I so love getting personal notes in the mail. Today, the mail box had two surprises. One was from my niece, who I am luring into MailArt by sending cards to her. Her response was simple, but shows she is close to ensnared. She responded with a simple but decorated letter. You realize that is the gateway drug to MA.

Sabrina Schmider sent a letter with much handmade art. What a fabulous eye she has for wildlife! And how impressive her skill for capturing it. First is the print of the Easter Dove. Then a funny translation of the Blackcap's self advertisement. Lastly, a sun story of a squirrel living in a woodpecker's hole.
