Women of Yamal - from Natalya Korolkova

This is my very first mail from Russia, and it is sent by Natalya Korolkova (aka Ntk at IUOMA). Yamal is a peninsula of North Siberia, and in the language of its indigenous inhabitants, the Nenets, it means "End of the World". I can't even begin to imagine how cold it is up there, and what kind of life it is to travel the roads with reindeer all year round...
Thank you Natalya! (I forgot, Natalya also has an open mail art call, "you've got mail". Everyone is invited).

We have the third day, it is snowing and cold, and had so wanted to spring!
In Japan until march 12, a little spring saw, and returned again in the cold!

I have some birds from Natalya - beautiful and bright, tropical. In complete contrast to these frozen landscapes
