Trendspotting

I've missed a lot of things. This bubble and that. But when I received a post this afternoon from Aladdin Seine I knew the jig was up. Here's the story. Not more than a fortnight ago I received a post from Susan W which included the postcard you see on the left above. Above that is her inscription on the back (which I will generously translate for the pixel impaired "This has been sitting in my card collection for probably 35 years…"

Then today's post brought the card on the right from Mr. Seine. Again I transcribe the message (more of a scrawl actually) "I had this postcard for 40 years!"

If you're wisin' up you can see where this is headed. Now if you wouldn't mind letting me know by dropping a post into the mail with your theory(s) I would greatly appreciate it. We need to get to the bottom of this.
