The World Town is in Pieces, by Cheryl Penn

Another book made from Cheryl's The World is a Town:

In case someone doesn't know it yet, Cheryl dismantled her incredible artist's book The World is a Town and has been mailing pieces she makes of it to artists as a mail art project, hoping to receive a mail art in return that responds to or interprets the title. How she could take apart that magnificent work, I'll never know (it can be seen in the third photo below), but Cheryl is famous (or is it infamous?) for doing such things, and it isn't hard to get used to, really, because she makes the works into wonderful mail art by themselves, and comes up with further fabulous projects that invite participants. What a great thing! The original work was based on the Novgorod Codex (11th century). Thank you very much for another unique gift, Cheryl. Has anyone ever told you you're a Peach?

Is someone going to tell me who's NBF?

Uh oh, it really is not going to be spectacular. It's quite modest, honest, because my focus isn't good these days. I've spent several days on it, but much of that was pondering! Think small. How are you going to keep the pieces all together as pages when everyone is doing something different? Just curious. Couldn't you just take a jackhammer to those boxes and mail us some pieces? That's my unselfish advice, haha.

Catherine's reaction brought me back to this post, and Marie's "endless inspiration" from Friday takes on new meaning for me today. Cheryl's piece, and the concept behind it, have been on my mind for weeks, with a few hit and miss starts. But today the piece I'll send back is in 5th gear, and it is probably mostly due to blogging Cheryl's piece the other day. Inspiration is right, Marie. Thanks to you and Catherine for commenting--you helped get it going--

Front of the envelope is, as always, an artistic treat also. And the back has, surprise, ZALOP on it!
