Starting with this special favorite:

Who doesn't need fake binoculars? You wait for them your whole life, but they rarely show up. In that package Erni also included a "moving sculpture," which can be seen in these instructional photos he sent with it: Two very special items arrived recently, including a really big version of the trademark Haptic Werewolf Strikes Again (think I hinted about that--open covetousness, you know); and Erni bowled me over by sending an absolutely wonderful book by artist Caleb Neelon, Book of Awesome, on his international street paintings and murals--because I hadn't heard of him before. Thanks for the beautiful education, Erni! Got some trash (including used little paper platelet with utensils), some Hamburg street posters that have been very much fun and idea-provoking as I've ripped them apart slowly, coins (love 'em), bottle caps, and as always Erni's both whimsical and serious envelopes. A favorite is the one he put the garbage in, after last time separating the trash into "domestic" and "urban," writing on this one: "It's a mix of domestic and municipal garbage. Hope you'll be able to handle that."

The photos below attempt to capture most of this. Thank you again, Erni, it is always a brightened day when something from you comes in the mail.

They're one of my very favorite things from Erni. We have them on our living room windowsill--posted a photo of them in their new home for Erni in Ruud's Erni fan group. (I think that's where its posted--it's hard to keep track!)
