Mail art by IUOMA founder Ruud Janssen (Breda, Netherlands)
Trashpoets, DKulters, Tenderfoots and other interested parties already know Ruud Janssen’s amazing stamps (above) are now in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Congratulations to Ruud Janssen and all others who participate in IUOMA (International Union of Mail Artists) and Trashpo. You are part of the historical record! I am absolutely thrilled to have received signed copies of the stamps for the MinXus archives.
Also included in the missive was an original vispo cut-up:
The envelope is in keeping with the stamp theme:
And the reverse:
Deepest thanks to Ruud Janssen!

Hi De Villo Sloan,
In the 90-ies I also mailed each mail-interview booklet straight to the MoMa. Got also nice letters back thanking me (all have them here still). So that isn't something new.
That is also why they have all the original mail-interview booklets in their collection. Check for the mail-interviews http://www.worldcat.org/ and you'll find them almost all in the MoMa Library.
Richard, I am looking forward to receiving your response.
I think Ruud Janssen's recent stamps are fantastic, and they go beyond DKult and Trashpo.
That said, I did post a question in Diane Keys' Trashpo group (on Facebook) asking that if Trashpo is now in MOMA, has it lost some vitality in terms of being an authentic, renegade movement?
Responses were neither numerous nor coherent. I wonder if you are addressing this issue or something else?
I understand Ray Johnson was constantly mailing things to MOMA.
Again, I look forward to your mail, Richard. And thank you, Ruud, for the mail and everything else you do for the network.
aha, an indirect answer. That will be interesting.....
26.06.15 Dare De Villo S., ....I am sending a mailing in response to your Ruud J. posting. Richard C.
