Richard Canard embraces "Erniness" (Carbondale, Illinois, USA)

Mail-art by IUOMA member Richard Canard (Carbondale, Illinois, USA)

November 23, 2013 - Sometimes in mail-art you find you are only a messenger, perhaps serving a higher purpose, perhaps not. For whatever reason, our much beloved veteran correspondent Richard Canard sent me Erni mail-art. I cannot even speculate why I was chosen but dutifully share it with you.

You see, of course, Richard has altered the OVERNIGHTER mail envelope to read: O ERNI. Clever!

Very nice writing! As ever, thank you, Richard!

That would be an interesting comment:  Thank you for your mail art. I feel entirely neutral about it

sincerely yours

Here is how I explain Richard's mail-art: Sometimes he sends me things that are little bits of advice. They are little "pep" talks.

Here he tells me to embrace Erniness, as he clearly does. All the messages on the back - that's what they are about.

So much justice to Richard's work, I think I meant.

Only the IUOMA sleuths could do such just to Richard's work.

BG - Did not notice the Kool Aid. Maybe. Possibly...

Erni & DK - The duck, yes. Some, indeed, have called Richard Dick Duck, and I do not believe there is any disrespect there. Yes, Duck - Daffy Duck!
