From one Re- to another Re- (we should find a Re- term for that process).

This is my first mail from Bruno and a much awaited one as I am a big fan of his work. He is currently working on a series of Re-, and his Re-blue is well worth the detour to his blog. This one is the first in the Re-white series.

Bruno is not only a master of Re-, he also has a very refined minimalist style. I don't know if the photos are good enough for you to see the layering (on the second one in particular). He relied on the transparency of the tissue paper for a see-through effect and a gain in texture at the same time. A sober and streamlined work that I'm really enjoying looking at and touching, thank you Bruno! Please Re- any time! :-))

Not minimalism the way you'd find in an art book - but works as a way to describe Bruno's style - minimal, economical - that pinpoints an important place where it diverges from a lot of other work in this area.

FAB :-) Minimilist? Definitely!

I like his style. I wasn't sure if minimalist was the appropriate term for this, I mean it in a positive way. As usual I find it difficult to categorize someone's art. And maybe not necessary?

Wow, really nice work by Bruno. Your photos capture the textures. He has a distinctive style for sure. You characterize it as minimalism, and that does help.
