Received from Dean Marks, France--Unofficial, Unlicensed, and Unauthorized

A gentle, kinder kind of anarchy. Katerina's partner in crime, Mark has sent me a couple of fantastic mail art pieces. This first one, in black and white, confesses that "He's got a Daytime Job He's doing alright." That's saying a lot these days. I like the doo-hinky buttons/keys and MR OFF is wonderful.

I think Paul Bunyon Rocks too. He was a lumberjack folklorish sort of bloke here in America. Had a blue ox for a pet named Babe. They say he was buried here in Minnesota, but who really knows. Embrace the mystery, I say. Dean's next piece is VARIATION ON A BARCODE OP. 031:

Dean ponders the future of barcodes and remains optimistic that they will always have their place in art. Ain't that the truth! though it may take me the rest of my life to make use of this knowledge. Thanks so much for these fun and engaging cards, Dean. Glad to know you're doing alright. There is after all, only one day at a time here at IUOMA.

Last week, i was "an artist in Seine" too! Well, maybe just 0n-the-Seine? By-the-Seine? In Seine.

"Paul Bunyan Rocks"...and so does Dean! Don't let that French return address fool ya, Dean is a Minnesota boy (ok, with French wine in his blood ;-) Gotta love the bar codes...and the push buttons! great mail art, great blog. thank you both!

Definitely, the Dire Straits song! And no Sting singing, "I want my MTV." Fantastic work and great blog, Bifidus.
