After several days and nights at the kitchen table, I have finally completed a series of postcards for IUOMA friends new and recent. They are on there way to a lucky few. A happy 2012 to everyone!

Angie, I'm a teacher, actually. The library slips came from the education library where I finished my degree. They were discarding a number of outdated books, and I jumped on them. I am a sucker for great authentic vintage paper. There were these cool punch cards in there too. Seriously old school.

It is a block print. I use Speedball Speedy-Kut or other similar carving materials as it is easier to use than lino. I inked the block with a stamp pad rather than block printing ink, so the face has more of a stamp-like quality to it. ( it's actually my daughter). I have not done a lot of block printing, but I want to do more.

I received mine today. Thanks!I am glad I helped you discover security envelopes.

Funny, I had something ready to send to you today too. It's in the mail now.

Question: Is the child a lino print?

I never thought about it until after, but the green face is sort of "Shrek-like". Glad you like it Angie.
