Let me start by saying, that I am not in anyway qualified to tell you why this piece from De Villo Sloan is so incredible.  I could try and throw around words like "asemic" and  "vispo", but you and I both would know that I would be talking out of my ass.

Let me tell you in my own humble words what I love about De Villo's fine work, and leave the tricky bon mots to the experts

The Mink Ranch cowboy (does he have a name?)  is so 50' kitch that I am transported back to a time before I was born. That Rancher seems like one mighty fine feller.  The reverse is a lovely vintage card of the Bad Lands of South Dakota.  What a nifty souvenir it is.

The DKilt.  What more is there to say. Run; don't walk, and get yours today.  The modern images and  vintage, the layer of old wood and bent nails and of course DK's visage. Bravo. Makes me want to grab my bagpipes and start marching in a parade!

I saved the best for last.   The color wave in this piece has comic written all over it.  The raw scraps, words and  letters remind me of the "POW" and "SMASH" of the 60's era Batman shows.  Holy mail art De Villo, this is the cats meow. Be sure not to change a thing; not even your hair.

Thanks for thinking of me, you made my month.
