This card  by Guido took me by surprise -  I did not expect another mailing so soon! Both Britain and India are very close to my heart, so I really appreciate the tension and humour in this collage of Victorian ladies and Indian dancer . The card is appropriately called "Culture Shock". Makes me crack up up every time I look at it.

About the collage: I made this for the birthday of a friend here in Brussels: Dararat Chemnasiri. She is not from India but from Thailand. She is a dancer, plays the saxophone and works in an organic shop. We met a couple of years ago during a mail art workshop organized by Inez de Olude (from Brasil but living in Brussels and IUOMA member). The rest is part of common history. One of her Thai friends is a journalist who came to Europe to make videos on «how artists live». So there is a video circulating somewhere in that region of the world on me, my art and my flat. She was crazy about my kitchen, that I remember quite well; probably because there were so many textures and Indian and Pakistanese herbs in it!
