Leo's shirt / Stars in her eyes - from Cheryl Penn

Cheryl has once again investigated. She always brings back tiny bits of forgotten history from her trips for us to enjoy. This one had me laughing for a long time. And where does she get all that stuff from? Leonardo and his bi-pede T-shirt that he never took off :-))) a piece of genius writing. The front of the card is a picture of the T-shirt, and the back is an actual and authentic piece of it. Full of paint, of course, that's where he was wiping his brushes. What a collectible!!
The amazing thing is, Leo's T-shirts were so popular that they are still on sale nowadays in Rome. I bought one during one of my trips to Italy. True story! The navy blue version of it. I'm still laughing thinking about it lying somewhere in a cupboard back at my parents'.
And I suspect Cheryl does the same as Leo with her paint brushes...
:-))

And a piece of dreamy poetry. Words and paint and photo are always so perfectly combined in her work. Thank you for always sending the best things, Cheryl! I'm learning a little bit more from them every time...

"Of puns it has been said that those who most dislike them are those who are least able to utter them."  --Edgar Allan Poe

I'm glad we are pun-atics for the most part.

As funny as some of this might be, Freud contended (and Ray Johnson followed) that puns & plays on words are the gateway to the secret thoughts & feelings we harbor yet dare not even admit to ourselves. In this case I think Leonardo had something important to "get off his chest."
