Mail art by IUOMA member Lucky Pierre (with Diane Keys & Richard Canard) (Charleston, South Carolina, USA)

November 23, 2016 - The Karnival of Trash continues with an epic Trashbook by Lucky Pierre (her second entry in the greatest show on earth). This is a brilliantly conceived and executed work that incorporates both the Aesthetic Trashbook and the Anti-Art Trashbook.

Independent of Trashpo, Lucky Pierre is showing increasing skill in the book arts. I am sure a Trashbook was an interesting exercise and challenge for her; certainly it is a great benefit to us. Many accomplished book artists have experimented with the Trashbook form with notable results. This Trashbook was carefully wrapt in paper indicating the junk mail theme:

The piece is maze-like and a bit DKhaotic. My documentation will not be exactly linear, but I hope to capture the essence of the work. An aerial view:

Using the Trashpo recycling ethic, I can identify work by network luminaries Diane Keys and Richard Canard (both Illinois, USA) in Lucky Pierre’s Trashbook.
