December 15, 2016 - The greatest show on earth has been graced with this spectacular series of cards by mail art legends Chris “Mudhead” Reynolds and Alyssa “Alyssum” Moinet (now aka Evoke Moinet). This dynamic duo, mail art’s royal couple for sure, has earned the “legend” moniker because they work largely off the digital grid these days and through the postal system. This, if anything, has enhanced their creativity. I think this work is simply…. ah…… breath-taking, stunning and… yes… original. I am a on record as being a huge Mudhead fan, but this piece by Alyssa Moinet is (above) my favorite of the batch. It’s mythic, primal. Many would identify it as stellar “outsider” art. To me, it is also deeply Blakean (William Blake).

We have some possible allusion to underground comics that once circulated in the network. These folks should do a graphic novel. They have both the visual and textual skills to create a masterpiece.
