From Marie At Last The Lonely Crimson Giant and The Hollow Men

A 'then' story: I had been waiting for so long for Marie's mail and then it arrived: the alone-ness of the man in the image was very striking: then Marie wrote the blog about the loneliness of the Crimson Giant walking away from the Tower of Babel: then I photographed an old work I had done which is in a head-office in Johannesburg, filled with Hollow Men (T.S.Elliot) inspired by a lonely man (Pollock): then I realized the magnitude of isolation that can fill the world if we don't connect. Thanks Marie - neural connections span oceans don't they?

I'm glad you finally got it Cheryl. Your art is fantastic, I feel connected indeed. We're all "mini-Giants".
