Fall Mail Art I: Modality 4 from Claire

This fall I've been blessed with a few wonders from IUOMA hearts.  In September, I received this astounding piece, Modality 4, fromClaire.  Claire's mail was a mail art experience, multifaceted, layered, a visual and tactile labyrinth that had me opening tapes on envelopes leading to everything from Nietzsche to a fortune telling fish.  I love the way this piece mixes straight and torn edges.  The scan does not do justice to the rich colors.  Thanks so much Claire

^_^...ah, I understand (mmm, it's so wondrous that you get details like that! They're very important to me and I always wonder if anyone notices...but of course, another artist would right? %_^)

And thanks again for your wondrous m.a. too! I've a bit of a backlog, but hope to continue our fruitful exchange soon...

Of course, Claire...especially since the title and your sig would be the wrong way as well done my way.    I put it on "holding" shelf the other way so as not to crush the wispy strands that fade so beautifully off the edge of the paper and my eye has been seeing that way ever since.

Thanks Peter, I'm so glad you were pleased! ^_^ (I wanted you to have it particularly because of your reaction to another piece...it spoke of a certain aesthetic sensibility which I hoped would respond to this piece...)

(btw, it is to be viewed horizontally)
