More apparel, this from Dean Marks, sent un-enveloped from France: It was beyond smashing and hilarious to find this stiff red HAND in the mailbox yesterday. Somehow Dean made a cardboard cutout to fit this lovely Bordeaux-colored left-handed leather glove and got it in there, graced it with a large ruby-colored gem on the ring finger (gold band of ring is painted on and can be seen on the other side) plus a very cool and mod bracelet, and attached it to Bordeaux-box cardboard. He addressed and stamped it, and it made the journey here completely intact via the postal system. Isn't it a beauty? Other side: As Dean states above, he finds interesting things on the streets as he bicycles through Paris. He calls them mail art omens, and they have to be used in his next card. Did I luck out!

With the shoes from Erni in Germany, and now a red glove from Dean in France, one has to conclude that European men feel driven to dress up the plain from Maine. Others might speculate as to why, but it's a worthy cause. Using the pocket shred from De Villo Sloan, also in the past week, as a dress to complete the outfit, I am all set. Please send mail art to the county jail after this new outfit is worn for a night on the town.

Thank you, Dean! Between you and Erni for fashionable mail art, it doesn't get any better than this!

I was going to say they picture me hungry and you naked but thought that sounded terrible. And it was meant to be a very innocent comment when I thought it in my head. Sue and I are definately conspiring, but not to get you a make=over, to cheer up your grumpy postman

No,no, Nancy Bell, you know that's not true.  Just to show you - I will send your mail man a special something.  I'll do it as soon as I return from my holiday.

What a couple of nutcakes you are. You--Sue and Diane--have obviously formed a conspiracy to make all this happen and cause my usual way of dressing to sound inferior.

I'm so holding back what I really want to say so as not to offend anyone. I think you're right about only men sending her clothing. Perhaps they are adorning their Queen?

DK, I think it is only men that have sent Nancy clothes.  Correct me if I am wrong, Nancy!

sounds like Dean is melting your grumpy postman's armour. This is a good sign. Those French and their charm-unrivalled

It truly is amazing, and I can only think the postal folks were mesmerized by it, because it IS mesmerizing in person. My postman was at our mailbox for a full 3 minutes, silent, and one can only conclude he was enthralled. And as you know, he's a grumpy guy. Diane, your question brings up many questions. Pondering here.

Love it! I think France has significantly more interesting trash than we do. People send me food and you clothes Nancy-what does it mean?
