The "nine b club" or the "9B Club", consists of members who have discovered the whereabouts of 9B drawing pencils and/or 9B graphite sticks! ...and they use them, of course! Lesley Magwood Fraser has used a 9B pencil to create these amazingly dynamic portraits! And I am thrilled that they arrived today in amazingly dynamic Greece! 

Lesley is a master at drawing from the model, and I must agree with her that the first portrait does look like a Greek ...maybe from the Island of Crete! Very sensitive and very expressive drawings indeed. Thank you, LMF! xxx

Hi Lesley, hi Mim...I like that the 9B is water soluable too...thick and then thin washes! Nice texture effect on toothy papers, too! Below...one of the "365" that I did with a 9B (...and sandpo, natch ;-)

And the nice thing is they are water soluble so I can spit on the drawing and rub it around!

Oh truly fun - 9B club. I like that. Maybe I'll do some drawings! That'd be going back to my roots in art for sure. Today, I chose some scraps of color paper for my mail art.  Sunny here, too, and we're going to walk in the park. I need to move about more, especially when it's nice out. hugs a lot, mim
