An inside story on the fan club, art historical romance, and Elvis, from G.A., Minnesota

This is "to get you arted," and who wouldn't want to be arted? Or *more* arted? I love more anytime, especially when it's free and art historical and romantic. This is a beautiful thing, Grigori, and are those lipstick formations we see on the face of the Haptic Werewolf? What a shock!

Here we have beauty A-N-D brains on the flip side. An Ed McMahon voice-over would be nice right about now: Very astute, as you need both for any meeting of the Erni Bar Fan Club.

This arrived in a large envelope made of an Elvis calendar. Elvis is always a sight to behold, and as some of us were reminded by Grigori recently, August 16 was the date of the demise of Elvis. He makes a very cool envelope: That second one, the front of the envelope, doesn't he look there a bit like one of the brothers on "The Big Valley"? His name was probably Jarod. I think he was a lawyer, so this conjecture can't be right. This is Elvis. Thank you very much for all, Grigori--

p.s. Thank you for the links. Now I can probably concentrate on it.

The cover is spectacular. Yes, I heard about the Voyager mission but didn't pay much attention to news about it, apparently. In 1977 I was probably busy running around with a bunch of Mr. Wrongs, watching street musicians in Harvard square, and looking for work that didn't require ornamentalness.

Yes, it's still alive, a month or two after Grigori named it and promoted my office. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy--but do appreciate it. The Elvis movies are bad, I have to agree. At least one matched him with Mary Tyler Moore, of all people. His music didn't thrill me, but had characteristics that helped show why others were crazy about him. Chuck Berry in space? Not the Beatles?

Looking forward to your latest post, thanks. The cheese has not arrived yet, should we worry about it boiling in some plane's cargo section.
