Jen's mail is the epitome of vintage. Here she used a card that already had a pretty vintage fragrance (the red flowers), and gave it her own twist. The dress is a pencil work on tracing paper, which gives a nice transparency. But the story really unfolds on the back of the card. It's like opening the doors of a sophisticated and elegant salon of the 18th century.
"A young lady, to be eligible for mariage, was not trained in household management but rather in such skills as needlework, painting, music, and French". Those were the days....
The One Shilling stamp also caught my eye, is it your own one Jen? All this looks really great, what a refined work, thank you!

As julle almal Frans praat dan sal ek a bietjie Afrikaans praat. Die vroumens is baie pragtig as is die kunstenaar wat haar gebruik het :-) Some Afrikaans for all you lot!!

Ma Francaise c'est tres mauvais. Pero mi espanol is mas mejor porque estoy en Tejas. No hay muchas personas aqui que parlan frances.
