Please accept my apologies for the recent slow down in my documentation of our WTJ (by US Postal Mail!) collaborative art project. I've got a lot of very awesome art from a number of super cool, fun artists to share with everyone! Today I'm sharing the groovy art of SaraMarie Bottaro!
Pages 19 - 23 were mailed back to Minneapolis on January 19th, 2022 wrapped like the gift they are!…

David and Star McCoy sent back gloriously "wrecked" journal pages from St. Cloud, MN! They're bright, playful, fun and I love them! David took these first several pages and had at them, scroll down and you'll find Star's artistic work follows. At the bottom of this blog I'll give you a look at the coolio envelope their art arrived in!

Richard Canard's Wreck This Journal (by US Postal Mail!) pages arrived safely back in Minneapolis! He had pages 44 through 49 and struck a very independent, free thinking pose befitting of a mail artist, in my opinion! When the Journal asked him for his grocery list he asked "Why?", and why indeed! We cannot simply bow, out of habit, to every…

Amy Kiessling's contribution to the Wreck This Journal (by US Postal Mail!) arrived this week and it's wild, energetic, bright, creative and cool!
On page 50 she uses staples, string, 4 colors of washi tape, tiny golden arrow tape, domestic mail labels with thick black marker graffiti, a hole punch and (hand carved?) rubber stamps of a spiral,…

Within 24 hours of mailing his contribution to the Wreck This Journal collaborative art project from Washington, it arrived at the Gnome Home in Minneapolis! Photos of the envelope and postmarks at the end of this blog should convince even the most suspicious minds that 24 hour delivery has indeed occurred!
As you look at his first…

The second set of pages have found their way back to Minneapolis and are from Melanie Reed!
(And I'm floored!)
I LOVE what Melanie did to them, turning them into a well written story and illustrating it was so unique and original and COOL. I admire her idea on how to…

Look what came in the mail from Cascadia ArtPost! I received this big postcard with "One hundred images for reappropriation and posting". I reappropriated them to create 5 photo books for my library, what a great set!…

Book covers are in. They are the new trend. But could you take one from the shelf and do this? And two are better than one.
Thank you Marie, if you are out there. Your ideas will never end.

Some of you might have had the pleasure to exchange with Christina A.Tarantino over the past couple of years... she lost her battle with cancer December 7, 2012. She will be missed and her words of encouragement will be echoed in the mail art world.
I have been asking everyone to add red lips in her honour. She would have enjoyed that...I'm sure. RIP Christina darling!…

Trashpo book from Diane Keys. All those little pieces of paper that we have that mean something to someone and together mean more to others. Thank you, I did make a note to clean the toilet, bathtub and shower.

This is one of the most exotic Trashpo pieces that I have received so far... and is it any wonder that it's from the Master of ceremonies, herself? Though I usually am overly verbose in my blog descriptions, I will let pictures of some of my favorite pages say all that is necessary about the creativeness of Diane Keys's piece:…
