Omg I was away from mail art and iuoma page for a while so I just noticed that she was dead about 7 years ago.
It was coincidence but when I received her mail, I happened to stay at Airbnb close to her place, and felt close to her.
I should have gotten in touch with her more.
RIP
I was shocked and saddened when hearing Susan had died. She was a good artist and an even better person. I'm glad I got to have her at many of the Meetups I was hosting back in the day. She made everything she touched more lovely.
I am putting together a FaceBook page in her memory and would greatly appreciate any scans you can send me of art she sent to you. I want to share as much of her art with the world as I can!
Send it to me in an email or leave it here in a comment with permission to post it on FB.
If you send an email, please put 'for Susan's memorial page' in the subject line.
Thanks, in advance, for your help with this.

Sad news. I will miss Susan and her mail-art.
Very sad indeed. I will miss her.
I'm so sorry about Susan -- she was a wonderful artist.
Susan will be dearly missed,
and yes, Richard, her "bold" black and white creations, too.
I was lucky enough to receive a few postcards from Susan McAllister. ...the images usually consisted of some bold simplified cartoonish head drawing with markers of red, black with critical empty white spaces. ... I did not know hardly anything about her but I admired & liked her very much. I was oftentimes reminded of Pablo Picasso's statement:"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once (s)he grows up."
Susan McAllister was a wonderful artist and mail art friend. I will miss her and remember her.
