Fluxus,trashpo,mashup,neoism..... They are all offsprings of Daddy Dada. Look more closely. They are here to be viewed at Iuoma.

Where, oh where, indeed.

Yes indeed - dada everywhere - except here at iuoma - so it seems.  No postings for a year.

Great explanation, DVS, I agree. DaDa is everywhere. It is, it is, it is.

Wonderfully explained, DVS!

Fluxus was an art and literary movement of the second half of the 20th century. Fluxus was inspired by many ideas from DaDa but evolved beyond DaDa. Fluxus endorsed and encouraged mail art. Yoko Ono is one of the most well-known examples of Fluxus artist who did mail art. Many artists at IUOMA are/were in some way connected to Fluxus or identify with Fluxus. DaDa and Fluxus have defined many mail art practices such as collage, performance art, visual poetry, found material, chance.

Ray Johnson was close with many people in the Fluxus movement, although he did not officially become a member of Fluxus.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OR PARTICIPATE IN DADA AND FLUXUS TO DO MAIL ART.

People you exchange with might be influenced by DaDa and Fluxus due to mail art's history.
