Thanks for your appreciation, Liberty, and for me it's all about just letting myself play creatively with color, paint, texture. I often am printing 4 or 5 times on one piece of paper. Look at the Gelliarts website and get ideas. I see something I like then just see if I can figure out how it was done. Great fun!

Thanks but I live in France.

Liberty, if you are interested, the new book called "Gelli Plate Printing" just came in at the library the other day. I'd been waiting months for it to arrive. It has great ideas, if you are interested. I may have to order it so I have it in my own library of art books. :-)

I have a gelliplate ... but I'm not good as you with it! Your work is wonderful, really wonderful!

Thanks so much for the Pinterest link. I will definitely be checking it out, and probably starting another board of my own with examples. I already have too many boards but, what's one more?! :-) I am curious and intrigued by Mark Tobey's white writing. I will look him up as well. I'm excited to do an asemic writing swap with you. Yes, let's do it. Thanks so much for writing and suggesting it.

HI Terry, Glad you like Sokkon 2 and others. I am really going gangbuster with my Gelli-plate. I used to do mainly fiber art and fabric surface design and am now concentrating on paper/canvas works.

As far as "rules"  go in IUOMA, I usually just send along something I think someone will be interested in, mostly from the groups they've joined. Often, as I did with you, I suggest a particular swap. I'd love to exchange asemic cards with you---your "beginner's mind" take on it could be inspiring!

You might look at this board on pinterest to see how some are interpreting it: http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=asemic

I recently saw an exhibit at Seattle Art Museum that had a number of Mark Tobey pieces that had what he called "white writing" all over .  I don't know the history of "asemic writing" but this might have been an early form. I've doodled with it for some time, and actually used to study Japanese, so much is mine is a riff on "freehand" Japanese, though without meaning. I'm experimenting with some other approaches lately. Looking forward to connecting!

I really like your gelli monoprints! I could comment on every single one of your cards but I will just say it here. I love your cards, especially the prints.
