Hi again, Lynda--sorry for the slow response.  I'm a city-dweller... Seattle.  I try to visit various parts of the state to do hiking (a favorite activity), but I have traveled to the eastern part of WA far too few times.  Those times that I have traveled out that way have been beautiful excursions.

Goodness gracious, Lynda Jo!  You live in my home state!  Howdy neighbor!  Richard Serra had a critical/biographical article of his Metropolitan Museum of Art retrospective show in ARTNews magazine in April 2011.  That where I got the inspiration to do this portrait sketch...
