Another photoshopped and collaged, cut/pasted together charcoal painting (up top, plus the drips all arund in B&W)-the faceless swimmers? I painted them like my 1st year in art school using vine charcoal. gesso and india ink which was what I was told not to use repeatedly in favor of oil watercolor gouache. The swimmers measures about 4'x3' and today survives (sans text of course) backed by a piece of foam core in my parents' upscale right wing kennebunkport maine fancy ass midcentury modern living room. Kinda steals the show and not in a good way! I do love my mom dad brother uncles aunts even my dead cat I still sing to when no ome is around so ueh I guess all the fceless darkness and loaded figuraton was just-a-waiting fr me to word-it-up like you see it here. Make smore sense to me that way...My subject matter pre-mail art, Duchamp, Dada, graduate school was all just wash in potential child abuse when still I live w/my folks and we all get along a bit too well-hnece why this old art dominates in our home!
