I doubt they'll let ol' Musk and his minions colonize Mars which I suspect is why he's into space travel so after THEY ruin earth, they'll take their ill-gotten get and a few of us as unnecessary but fun servants to live on Mars. Remember the line in "Total Recall", "Get yourself to Mars!".
