I've worked a lot of places I WISH people would have disappeared. Maybe you dematerialized them without realizing it?

We worked together in an old warehouse near the Iowa River in the early 90's. The disappearnce of workers was nearly perpetual but we didn't consider the river that i recall.

(Psst...I have been places where people go on vacation and never return, and they are not to be mentioned out loud.... I've see people disappear before my very eyes...become someone or something else...  Sometimes I myself am swallowed up, buried in some quiet off-center place....It is oh so mysterioso, sometimes beautiful and yet as common as grass on the lawn....)
