Pen-and-colour-pencil drawing.
I heard the cat is happy with the portrait, but I'm in doubt whether Val is - hope he will like it anyway.
In fact, there was an artistical problem to solve: how to draw/paint a white/grey moustache and beard?
I thought this 'mostly white-kept area' would clearly suggest the presence of a beard and moustache, but it might be not as clear as I thought it to be.
So my questions to you, dear colleague mail artists: 1) Do you see a (white) moustache and beard in this drawing? , and if not, 2) How would you draw these in a pen-and-colour-pencil drawing like this?

I don't always look like that...only when I'm thinking about Vizma!

I see Val's aging "white" stubby beard, oh yes!

Excellent illustrative work, Heleen....

and you have never met the real "Trouble"?

That is a perfect representation of the beast :-)

"Hmm, reminding Herman Melville, I get visions of a whale with a curled tail at the location where usually a moustache can grow... Don't know why."

It's all to do with that dream you had about Val last night, Heleen.

Sigmund.

Thank you for your comment and good advice, Val! I will consider Bianca the next time!

(But did really No-One see that I tried to add Val's beard and moustache to the drawing, by leaving those places white(-haired)?!? :-| )

Of course Val likes it! Thank you Heleen.

Trouble likes it too.

Bianca is a jealous puss, 'cos she didn't get included in this.

Bianca is a big, black hairy Persian cat, and, if you try and  answer Heleen's 2nd question, perhaps you could 'add' Bianca to where my beard and moustache/snor should be?

Here is Bianca:

Also here is another Herman (Melville) with a beard:
