I'm so excited to receive the mail from you with the fantastic clock on the envelope. I'll do my best to wait til Leap Year's Day to open it, although I'm absolutely terrible at delaying gratification. Really nice Feb. 29 faux cancellations!
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Thank you for the wonderful Leap Day clock(s). Love the one on the tissue paper--very lovely. And the erasure poem, too. Marvelous celebration!
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Ah, and I'm a bit slow (appropriate for leap year). I just figured out that Pridie Kalendas Martius means "last day before March" -- thanks for furthering my wobegone education!
  • Ruth Tapp

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing on here.... I thought I'd commented but now I can't see it....!

First, thank you for the gorgeous envelope--is that from a painting of yours? Really nice. And yes, I would LOVE to participate in your found poem project! I look forward to playing with this piece of text you sent!
  • Minneapolis Gnome

OMG I love those stamps so much it HURTS! If that was US postage I'd buy them out and use them forever. Thanks for the link!
I got your caution tape mail, THANK YOU! How did you do that? It was pretty cool.
I've been out of contact on IUOMA for the last couple of weeks here because of long hours at work and resulting exhaustion. Our move to new building is complete and am adequately settled in so I'm now on vacation for some r and r. I'll get my sanity back and get back into IUOMA groove soon, just have to file for tax extension today and then things will feel more under control.
Since on vacation only have old iPad to use for Internet, can't send private messages on this site with I pad so hoping public comment will go through.
    Thanks again and talk soon!

Oh Phillip thank you so much for the excellent paper towel Banana Mail! And Found poem! I have to admit I am ignorant about those funny little yellow characters Kevin and Stuart, evidently they are extremely FOND of bananas, even red ones! I am going to google them pretty quick before I fall even further off of the pop-culture map! And I do know who Batman is and your envelope and stamp are great! I am old enough to remember Adam West!
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Phillip thank you so much for teh beautiful Monkey "First Day of Issue" PC! I've never received one of those before -- and the monkey is adorable! And the Charley Harper bird PC is also very lovely.

    FinnBadger,

I wonder how does this blog 100 envelope? is to send a mail art with decorated envelopo? I have not found the summons on them. wanted to participate

  • Carina

Hi FinnBadger, thanks for the cool Junk Dada-mail! A very nice way to honor 100-years of Dada. Sending you something this week....  :)

  • stripygoose

And thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a good day with lots of bird arrivals across the globe!
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

FinnBadger thanks so much for the terrific card -- I love using text from old books. I like the copper metalic paint you used in the found poem, too. Your envelope fascinates me. I was going to look up the person on the stamp(the woman, not Lincoln) before I wrote this but I forgot. Beautiful photo.
  • Heleen de Vaan

Thank you so much, your scandinavian-swimmers-covered colour prints mermaids mail art arrived safely!
I'm much behind in posting (the delay is several weeks) but for now this quick note to let you know it swimmed through the post safely :-)
  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

FinnBadger, you've been blogged! And there's mail going out for you on Monday!

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Oh Lovely Card FinnBadger! I did not yet have one of your marbled pieces and I'd be happy to have more--very beautiful! The digital collage is fascinating as well -- they look like images from microscope slides....great to hear from you, thanks very much!

Finnbadger, thanks for the biggest Banana I've ever seen! Happy Banana Day to you!

Hi FB! I've just been to the Eduardo Munez event in London and saw some of your mailart being opened (but I've forgotten the guy's name and he's an actor in the film - sorry!). It was so exciting and such a fab gathering of people. A wonderful collection or envelopes = almost too many to take in. The film is due to be finished in March next year I think. Can't wait! So good that we could be part of it.

Happy World Banana Day to you, too FinnBadger! I'm afraid I missed sending anything out for this auspicious day, but I appreciate your card!

  • Jason C. Motsch

Hey there. I just received your "this banana was never here" card the other day and it cracked me up.  Thanks for sending some humor in the mail.  Hope all is well with you.  Peace.  PS,  I posted it on my page.

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Phillip, thanks for the collage -- such a lot of stuff to look at! Love the vintage postcard, which is on its way back out to you-know-who! With additions! Great to hear from you!

  • Azzaro

Thanks Phillip for the surprise ripe banana - it survived the rigours of the international mail without too much damage. The stamps were great too - very mouthwatering  :-)

  • stripygoose

I see you clocked the stamps chicken 'five' - as soon as they arrived I just knew
    that was their destination!
    Have a great day!

Thank you for your wonderful mail! The great Fruit envelope and Kwanzaa stamps I received last Tuesday (wow, such a thoughtful and nice surprise!), and the Moon / Eclipse landed yesterday at my place.
The Eclipse I just posted here, in the 'circles' group; the Fruit I will post some day in the 'nog meer post' blog.
