  • Terry Reid

Medwolf,  Gail in Trail thinks it was probably somewhere on your page that I briefly ran across a discussion on Zack some months ago when I was too tied up with commitments to take note.  If I have got this right, can you give me a link to the discussion?

    Zack here, Oct. 5, 1986

    Time warp

Did you ever read Dianetics? I don't have a copy here but I got interested when I did read it, in my time in NY c. 1973, maybe earlier too but I don't recall, hm how I took to heart the part about minimizing attention to painful experiences as they form blocks to clear thinking. I wonder though if this applies really or if to be able to dwell on these things can be an important part of novels for some people.

Well, I mean Correspondense novels as these seem like a thing I can carry out that canyon. Well, I feel freer knowing this so, for example, have sent some mail now online finally through CrackerJack, seance like through his meta-net-work. Hmmm, thanks cracker. Funny how I always laid that plot on you to move these CNs online. We were talking about that in 1989 when you were BBSing with Ruud, Pan, Francois and others, mmm should be there in CN-9-The N-Tity.

Hm OK, well I should be publishing old stuff, yet more important to do new stuff, which I am... well, arranging the Correspondence Novels on large cards, well 40 x 60 cm I think, bristol, to make clean shows but also to computer register the stuff since I'm in a cloud now with Deisler, chilly up here.

So be cool and I'll novelize you more soon.

    Over/Out

Thanks cracker, see you in Leavenworth Jackson Illustrator, CN-CH 5. Did you reach

your cuz nut Roy DeForest yet? Kinda late now. Know you tried at least four times and that's over since Roy checked out a few years ago. But I see Carlo P. from time to time.

  • CrackerJack Kid

    MoZackhere,

Great correspondence novelists move from one world to the next with hardly the wiggle of an eyebrow.

    a wink

    Zack

  • Medwolf

thank you Cracker...his words are as I remember them..I am thinking about phone conversations you may have had in 1994~95 while he was in Texas??

  • Susan McAllister

I received your envelope of goodies. Thanks so much.
  • De Villo Sloan

Thanks Medwolf, this actually well known and as fine a piece of writing as you could hope for from someone who clearly could not draw, as the piece Leigh posted (that has now disappeared) indicated.

I do not know the context of the message. I understand you are pointing to the consistency of April 1 in the messages, but I think the joke ended up being on him in the sense that we are here and accounted for. He is not.

Thanks for this - I'll add it to the blog because I know it's authentic.

  • Not Hi Ng

Medwolf, I got this great envelop of stuff from you, I'll get something out to you shortly.

    Hey Medwolf,

Do you have any of Zack's Correspondense Novel folios? Also, did you ever have

any exchanges with DJ at FOMT? Always digging, unearthing, unworldly. What's with

that Sounds of Silence in the background? Just wrote and recorded a new tune today

"Emancipate Freedom" Freedom is a dirty word, they drag it through the mud/They take it to the mountaintop, inject it like a drug/This overdose of freedom, you die the patriot/When politicians trade the trick, then freedom's just a slut

    Interested in a CD?

Hello Medwolf, I'm pleased to be your fiend - Barry

  • Medwolf

If I were to talk to the moon I would say~well hmmm my statement would be "is David Zack really??" he was an early mail artist and no one seems to know or care where his spirit sleeps or if in fact he is dead and has been misplaced but no matter he should be found and his where abouts made known so that mail artists today can have the choice of visiting or creating an offering site or shrine in his honor as should be done with the resting places of all great mail artists who have taken that last step in this life and gone on to the other side where they now dance with the stars and drink water from the big dipper...and I have been asking the mail art circle "is he really ?? and did he surrender that day in Mexico or did they take his old rusty truck and make it surrender..and why is it all now a big secret?" David Zack was one of our own...a door opener when mail art wore the clothes of a young artist...and he unlike other greats such as Ray Johnson..is MIA and some of us would simply like to know..is he really??

  • De Villo Sloan

Hi Medwolf, thanks for the David Zack mail-art. I blogged it along with an update on the official MinXus-Lynxus David Zack Disappearance Investigation. Confidential sources are coming forward. Looks like you were right:
