Thanks Martha! I actually had that portrait done from the Mad Men website where you can "Mad Men" yourself by selecting hair color, clothes, etc. After it was finished, I had friends tell me it looks so much like me it was hilarious, so I kept it ever since! I'll have to start getting some more mail art now to my orange lovers!
Will be sending you some of the plastic enveloppes I made with the 3D pen, so you can hang them in the gallery...... Just a small surprise... Love what you do. - Ruud
So glad to hear the little portfolio made it across the ocean. I was a concerned about the button closure getting snagged. Yes, those are my linocuts. The cat was a originally a tiny doodle on a scrap of paper I have held on to for years. I must be part magpie. When DK started the doodle swap I went looking for it and decided to make it into a stamp.
Ah, I pick up free advertising postcards to add strength to envelopes. I just try to find ones that are a little interesting. ^__^ They are a good buffer if the paper of the envelope tears. I use them to shield interior items.ย
Hi Martha, thanks for the wonderful entry for my Food and Drink mail art call! I've scanned and posted everything on the event pages on Facebook and here on IUOMA.
To answer to your question, no I don't think I am the one. I don't know about the project, and don't think I am the Tomoe. (Japanese name Tomoe is a female name but not too popular.)
I am kind of curious about the poster you were talking about though...?ย
Yes glad to see you in Trashpo group.
Let me know which one in the photos I posted there you want me to send as "a product" or future recycle art. If it is remarkable, I make it again and send you. : )
I used to study art in San Francisco CA and Santa Fe, NM, USA and I do photo based art, painting, recycle art etc...ย
Nice to meet you. (^_^)
>Hi Tomoe, are you the same Tomoe that a long time ago did a project in whichย you run a security firm, that was hilarious and I participated? You sent me a poster to tell prospective robbers that my property was protected by you. I put it on the front door, long before I created the Front Door Gallery.
I am glad my post of the boxes reminded you making it.ย
I was not tactful with Origami, but a Japanese guy who sit next to me, from SF to Osaka last Nov made a real good crab with a page of his notebook and he gave me, and it was astonished. He off course was a physicist.ย

Worry not about following another group - I shall keep you updated via the regular airmail post. The time of the Cascadia Walmarth Grand Opening is approaching! I have received several "DKultideas" from Diane Keys and will be acting upon them this week. Originally I thought the store would open in time for the solstice, but the paving out back took longer to finish and we are still awaiting the painting of the special Walmarth dumpsters and rain punch barrel. As you can see, the Grand Opening, and particularly the "Godzilla Special,"ย has become a topic of discussion among Cascadians. More soon...
Cascadia city has the Cascadia Currency Cooperative as an alternative to that odious Capital Giant bank (pictures of both attached). I am confident that the Walmarth store will be able to be open in July with the DKult rain punch barrel, Godzilla Special out back, custom-painted dumpsters, and of course trashions.
Walmarth, the original Retailer of Repurpose, has unveiled its new corporate flag in connection with the forthcoming Grand Opening of its Cascadia store. One may speculate that the Walmarth flag resembles the last Confederate flag of 1865, but store moguls were non-committal on the resemblance except to say that the black bar on the right half of the flag was intended to symbolize Black Friday. Cascadians are already referring to the flag as "the retail-stained banner of Walmarth."
Psssst.... Martha, I think the Grand Opening of the Cascadiaย Walmarth store might actually happen soon. The special-liveried dumpsters arrived yesterday in the rear parking lot, and this morning I saw they had been newly filled overnight with found objects that have already drawn the attention of passersby. Not only that, workers (not from Grossiak's) have been stringing banners across the front and rear of the building block, and I spotted what looked likeย black body bags stacked on the ground ... for the Godzilla Special??? I did not have my camera with me, and a Walmarth staffer in the parking lot remained tight-lipped when I asked him when the Grand Opening would happen. All of Cascadia city (well, most peeps I encounter) are anxious and eagerly awaiting this event.
I just watched Dean aka Artist in Seine's video of your shopping trolley. Hilarious! The afterburner on the trolley is something Walmarth Cascadia could investigate for its shopping carts (visible in various pictures in the advertising supplement now on its way to you.
