It is easy to make ATC (Artists Trading Cards) they are small cards made by hand or computer in small editions. I will send you some so you see what they look like.

  • Mail Art Martha

    will do.

Have a happy time in your new home!

    Is it correct ?

  • Gilles Le Corre

Oups, sorry. I know that ShangHai is a very tall city…

I have a question (don't answer if indiscreet) : What is meaning "A Mo" ? Which "Mo" is it ? Is it "Ink"  ?…

    G.

  • Gilles Le Corre

    … OK, don't answer, I understand by "lazybunny" Miss "Mao"… :-D
  • sure, i love chinese poems!

i just can't read them, but they still look cool!

  • prettylily

You are welcome, Amo!  Sending you more hugs.  XXXXXXXXX
  • Laura P (spopod)

Amo, sorry you had trouble finding me, I should change all my contact information to spopod! I'd love to change mail art with you. Will send you a Zentangle in the next week or so. New mail art for your new address. Laura P.
  • Laura P (spopod)

Amo, A Zentangle is the black and white patterned drawing that you like on my mail art post #146. It is a style of drawing with lots of pattern. You are right it does not translate well into Chinese.
  • Laura P (spopod)

Amo, Here is a link to the website about zentangles it is usually done in black and white but it is really about the patterns. The concept for Zentangles was created by this couple named Rick and Maria.  They came up with over 100 different pattern designs they use and teach about their drawing. I went to the their teacher training class. I wish we lived closer so I could give you a lesson! I hope this website will help understand it a little better. If you have more questions let me know. • Jennifer Jones (JJalltheway)

Hey friend, congratulations on your show! It looks like you had a very big turnout. It made me very happy to see a photo of you talking to all those people and to say "Hey, I know her"! I'm finally moved back to my beloved Portland and just moved into a new house yesterday. I will be sending a parcel to you soon. The kids say "Hi" to you and Steven too. Glad to see you're using the seal.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

  • Mail Art Martha

Great to have your project in the newspaper, you have done so well in such short time, mega congratulations!

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Bonjour lazybunny amo! Many thanks for your envelope and painted card, and also for the labels (? I'm not sure what they are, or said, because I don't read Chinese/Mandarin) that were inside it. They all made a very nice collection. Why are you a 'lazy' bunny? Today on my early morning cycle ride I saw 5 bunnies and a BIG hare (very unusual to see these). Next time I see a rabbit, I'll think of you in Shangai making mail art.

I'll send tou something back at the start of next week.

Thanks again and best wishes, JE Sweefoo/Val

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Thankyou Busy Bunny! Now I no a little bit about you and your Mail Art it makes a lot more sense.

I was born in 1946: am I a rabbit too? (I would like to be a cat, but perhaps this isn't possible).

    Regards, JE Sweefoo/Val

    Hi Amo;

I was away when your superb art work arrived, simply great and very clever, thank you. You have worked so hard and done a lot in such a short time that you deserve a medal! You will be remembered as the artist who introduced mail art to China, so cool.

I, on the other,  hand cannot seem to find enough time to breath let alone do all I want to do. I really must get some photos on my page...

  • Mail Art Martha

Thanks for the photo, I have seen a nice long documentary onTV and I am impresed with your city, the height of the buildings and the activity all over.

Your idea of a project with children is very good, I love children's art and they love mail art, they can get the idea much better than non artist adults, well, after all, every child is an artist. Good luck, Lazy-not-really-bunny!

  • Carla Cryptic

Oh!  I forgot to ask you - when is/was your actual birthday?  Have you already had it or is it still coming up?

    Carla

  • Carla Cryptic

Ah!  Wonderful - still time for me to surprise you. ;)
  • Carla Cryptic

Fire would be an interesting medium for creating rabbit art - very challenging!  :D
  • La Koki

    Same here! :)

The best for your project...! Fraternally,
  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Bonsoir lazybunny.Amo!

Thankyou very, very much for the lovely envelopes and the enclosed bunny sewed heart that you sent me. I showed the heart to my cats, and they thought that it had a cat sewed on the front of it. But I told them that it had rabbit's ears, not cat's ears, so they went away. The heart is now on my desk, keeping me company.

    Thanks again.

I'll be mailing you something back tomorrow.

    Have a good weekend,

    Regards Val

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Bonjour! I love the photo of your mini bunny. We used to have one when my children was younger. He was called 'Robert the Rabbit', and when it was very cold in the winter we bought his cage inside and he used to live in my study, and help (!) me when I was working. Now we have 2 cats -- a black Persian one called Bianca, and a very naughty Siamese cat called Trouble who adopted us almost 2 years ago. Bianca is the Queen of the House, and Trouble just causes trouble...lots on it!

    Regards, Val

Hi Amo, Where have you been lately?  Missed you, lazybunny!  Thanks for your kind comment.

  • prettylily

Hi Amo, I must have missed it.  Good to see you are still here and posting.  Will send you something soon. XX

  • Mail Art Martha

Hi long time since I heard from you it must be those naughty bunnies keeping you busy. I have been organizing my shopping trolley to carry a new show and have put one of your lovely stamp artwork on it. You can see the photos on my page. Happy bunny time!

  • Mail Art Martha

What a beautiful thing it must have been, a red moon! It is 6 o'clock here and it is night already but the sky is all black; no stars and no moon. Last night the moon was superb, very large and shiny but its usual white colour with the rabbit very clearly drawn on it. I will look again later in case it changes.

  • Mail Art Martha

Thank you for the snail mail card, it is lovely and will find its way to the trolley in January.

  • Jennifer Jones (JJalltheway)

Hey, how great!! I got your beautiful Santa card on the same day my #349 got to you! I think it must be a sign of something good to come!! Happy new year dear friend!
