No specific theme. Yes! This is the place for me; for no particular reason other than if it's a cafe, there must be coffee.

  • Maureen Forys

I'd like a window closest to that lovely postbox on the corner please.

  • Judy Skolnick

  • Judy Skolnick

To Ruud and IUOMA  many candles and relaxing days.

  • Maria José Silva - Mizé

    Vai  um Café?

Ia postar uma foto, mas não consegui. Não sei que se passa.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Yay! The gang's all here!

    Even Vinie:

  • Rod Summers / VEC

    who has the cheese?

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

...Eva has a lot of this:

    in all languages :-)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    also Erni in Hamburg :-)

  • Rod Summers / VEC

That's not cheese! I meant the stuff that comes from cows/goats/sheep, not some squidgy stuff made in a chemical factory.  I shall now take a siesta and dream of Gorgonzola, or Red Leicester, or Mature Gouda:)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    hahaha...ya mean FETA! :-)

  • Mars Tokyo

    Apricot filling

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Yummy, Mars...that looks delicious!

...and we could have it with a piece of CHEESE = ART :-)

How about some Greek Goat CEESE?

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    CHEESE!

    (Feta, too)

  • Rod Summers / VEC

Life is just (another) bowl of (Greek) cherries:~)

and a pot of green tea to wash them down.

  • Mars Tokyo

    Come on down!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

some HOT choco for Vizma at the Cafe...yep, there are

places in the world where the wind and cold is a-blowin". :-0

...while we swelter in the heat here in Greece (and London!)

  • vizma bruns

Ooh thank you, Momkat! Just what I need on this freezing and hailing Sunday morning, and after listening to Rod's lovely Mail Art Dada Skank song I'm feeling much better already! You must've put some Ouzo in that cup..Dada Skank Mail Art, lala la Lala!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Maybe a bit of Greek METAXA brandy in the hot choco?? yummy!

  • Rod Summers / VEC

Oh (sorry Vizma) please put an ice cube in that choco/brandy, this hanging  heat has brought out the barbarian in me

  • vizma bruns

Please don't mention ice, we had snow in South Australia yesterday! Did someone mention global warming? Brrrrrring it on, brrrrrr.

  • Rod Summers / VEC

you mean like snow snow?  I'm impressed, I thought Australia was all deserts, wombats and discarded lager cans:~)

  • vizma bruns

Well, maybe not snow snow like you Europeans have, but in the hills there was some white stuff falling down!

  • Maria José Silva - Mizé

Boa tarde e bom domingo. Com um cafézinho.

    Mizé

  • Rod Summers / VEC

  • Ruud Janssen

Seems the cafe is closed on mondays.....

  • Nancy Bell Scott

But open on Wednesday. Well, late Wednesday for you, Ruud.

  • Ruud Janssen

Reading this on Thursday, so that is good. It is still vacation-time......

  • Rod Summers / VEC

My internet connection is so slow that by the time this uploads I'll be back in Reykjavik... well perhaps not that slow but nearly. I'm here on the outskirts of civilization for another 4 days then back to the metropolis

  • Nancy Bell Scott

    Shall I send you snow next winter? We usually get plenty in Maine. :--}

  • Dan Mouer

Good morning, mail artists. I'm making espresso. Anyone want some?

Here in Virginia we have had what must be the rainiest spring and summer ever. Way more than 40 days and 40 nights.
  • Rod Summers / VEC

It can snow here on Langaness at any time of the year, today it is raining and about 6 C I just leveled 2 tons of river grit to make a path to the meadow... I'm happy as a pig in...grit!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

But nice and "COOL" in Iceland, Rod!

We swelter here in Greece in August...

'been a loooong time since I saw any snow...nice cool thought, however

  • vizma bruns

I hope Champagne is allowed in this café!! I have an IUOMA hangover. But it was worth it!!! Thanks Ruud!!!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Still celebrating 25 Years of IUOMA! (all year long, Viz!)

  • vizma bruns

Yay! Celebrating with not a CAIR in the world!!?? Are those Greek bubbles??

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Yes, Vizma..Greek "sparkling wine" from RHODES!!!

as champagne is only from Champagne, France!

  • Rod Summers / VEC

'scuse me!  I came into this 'cafe' for a cup of tea and a bun, turns out now to be a pub full of bubbly plonk!  Now who started that I wonder? eh Vizma?

Rhodes?  Wasn't he the bloke who gave Moogabby the job?

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Some butterkeks and tea, please...

  • Dan Mouer

Plonk on a Sunday morning....hmmm...I'll try a little Greek bubbly in my espresso, please....

  • vizma bruns

Ha ha! Sorry, Rod! I think Dan and I are the bad influences in this place!!! But it IS the 25th party year!!

PS. Dan, I'd recommend a nice tequila in your espresso, it's what I have on Sunday mornings, Mexican coffee!

  • Rod Summers / VEC

Oh...Go on then! If you insist!  I'll have a glass of Italian red wine please, make it an expensive wine, I have delusions of grandeur.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

A month later...and we are back to Tea Time :-)

  • Nancy Bell Scott

But but but Kat . . . it's brandy time in Maine.
