Hi Katerina, glad you liked it, I have a great time making banana art, the whole purpose of the banana art as I see it is fun,fun,fun and more fun. By the way the missing banana  has gone to ... perhaps we find out soon.

Thanks Dean, your banana comes from Katerina's cut out, I am nothing if not thrifty. The brown paper by the way is made with banana leaves and I bought it in France a long time ago and  didn't know what to do with it, until now.

While Katherina got the cut-out, I got the Banana.  A beautiful piece from Mail Art Martha.  This takes banana art to another level.

Last weekend my wife went shopping and then called me from her cell phone.  "Come quick with your camera, around the corner there's a man with a banana."

     And sure enough, there he was;

Actually there were two of them.

This Banana thing has gone too far and I am now seeking professional help ... for my wife.

To start off the World Banana Day feast, Mail Art Martha sent me an origammy orgasmi origami banana.  Amazing, and she was paid a FairTrade salary for doing it.

After hours of taking it apart and then putting it back together again, I came up with this drawing in case you are ever interested in doing one yourself.

Dean I could have sent you the origami instructions, but  I suppose it is more rewarding to find out by yourself. Well done! The instructions also said to crease each banana and open them by inserting a pencil on their tip, so they are more 3D.

Martha, that sounds extreme, even for a banana.  Remember, there are young children who read these blogs!
