YAH! Artistamp Heroes!

Information

YAH! Artistamp Heroes!

Group to share the artistamps which you've received from... Your Artistamp Hero(es)!

In the past years I've received wonderful artistamps (also known as cinderella stamps).
Recently I was surprised by some more beautiful self-created stamps. I will publish the awesome beautiful artistamps by Ptrzia and Alan Brignull in this group later. And the fantastic lion stamps by Eraser Heed you already can see here.
Moreover, there's the wonderful artistamp sheet you see below, created by Fraenz, who brought various mail artists together (and I'm feeling honoured being part of them - thank you very much, Fraenz!).

The above mentioned mail artists have something in common. They're not only mail art colleagues, but they also are... My Artistamp Heroes!

Of course there are more mail artists who I consider a real Artistamp Hero. No doubt they will appear here in future, too.

And as there are Many More Artistamp Heroes, I created this group.

And I am pleased to invite you to share your received artistamps, to celebrate the fact that you have Your Artistamp Hero(es), too!

Katerina thank you for putting up those excellent stamps and perhaps it was a good thing not to get perforated paper for the good reason that it may be very difficult to get the stamps to line up correctly. When I have printed labels I found that a bit of a chore.

I got lost in this site, and probably I am writing this in the wrong page, sorry if so.

I think that page with the story of the perforating machine is priceless, made me want to all of them in my Christmas wish list.

They may be very costly and perhaps it will be better to get a life voucher for yourstamps .eu

Thank Martha...I should have checked out that stamp-perforated paper when i was in Chicago last May! Darn! But then again, my little ol' printer probably wouldn't do to good of a job anyway.

Another artistamp hero :

ArtStamp Denmark....

and his series of "Human Rights"

Forgot to say that in the States you can get computer paper already perforated stamp size, so if you know somebody travelling there...

Yes Cascadia creates great artistamps, I do not know how Jack does them , but they are very profesional as is everything he does. I also tried a dressmaking wheel like you have Katerina and it was not very successful, I prefer cutting them with  crinckly scissors as you do. Also I use a German website sometimes. It is quite cheap all considered and free from hassle.

I have used it many times and can recommend it.

Wow! Wonderful stamps by Fraenz!

And Heleen...I love your story-telling of the gal who sits and waits for

perforated edges :-)

I often cut the stamp sheets

( they are photocopies from the original stamps )

with my "crazy-edge" scissors !

But once upon a time I tried using a tracing wheel...

but I was not too successful! :-(

I am happy to have received a second great artistamp sheet, created by Fraenz from Luxembourg from pictures of city walls, torn posters, urban art, graffity etcetera. Also in this sheet he brings together various mail artists.

This is the picture I had send to Fraenz:

I took this picture in Paris, May 2014, close to the back side of the Louvre. All honours - and many 'thank yous!' of course to the unknown artists, and to Fraenz, who managed to create something new out of the photos he received.

Thanks, Katerina, for you additions! I know the artistamp makers group, but indeed this group I created to celebrate the artistamp creators' artistamps :-)

I think she is thinking about her postage edge cutter and tracing wheel, with which she cannot make artistamps edges like the edges of real (official) stamps. And also with the sewing machine it went the wrong way (it was a console that she is not the only one).

So on this picture you see her longing for a real stamp edge perforating machine. However, they don't ship it to her place because it is too heavy...

In short, er, Mail Art Martha, I think she's like us...   :-)
