Post boxes

In my holidays I took photos of public post boxes sometimes, but sometimes I forgot it. Feel free to upload your own, but not letter boxes please.

Well as I managed to mess up the order of the photos in the last message, I'll send you a photo of a York Postlady wearing the new Post Office regulation winter uniform. She's standing by a prototype new post box. (Any resemblance to me is purely coincidental). Val

I've just been to the UK, and here are some pictures of post boxes from York. (Theyv are also posted in the Photos section, where there is a short comment/observation on each of them).

Nice, Victoria! Vatican stamps and postmarks are very collectable. And the Rome one has some interesting stickers on it. Val

Val, I did not "deface" the Greek post boxes...and those are so new and shiny, who would dare to mark them up. The "graffiti was done on the PHOTO of the mail boxes ;-) So, no harm done you see.

Look at the "old" Poste et Telecommunication in a little town in Normandy...

France is such a nice place for "photo-post" themes. Bring you camera to Paris, Val, and we shall go hunting up post boxes there!

Two more, this time from the village of Port-la-Pubelle -- sorry I mean Port-la-Nouvelle.

Great Graffiti, Katerina!

I hope you didn't get arrested for your artistic efforts.

(They now resemble the last Greek Cabinet)

Chicago Bulls? Motre likely the Basque Toros.
It's still a struggle to find interesting post boxes. I've now covered the old parts -- and interesting post boxes only exist in the old parts -- of mine and the nearest 5 villages. I will have to identify some new ones for next month's voyages.
