I feel like an adventuress. I will never be able to retire, I have to pay for all of this. October is ideal, 84 degree days 60 degree nights, lots of sunscreen and hats, the desert reflects the light like the water does. More coming as soon as I get the photos on.

Beautiful, beautiful, Judy. It looks as if October is ideal weather/time for a visit to Jordan! I have never been, it is on a "to-do" list when I retire! Your
photos are amazing....are ya feeling like Indiana Jones?

These are in Jerash, Jordan, an archeological site of Greek and Roman antiquities, a shame the earthquakes and latter violent groups of peoples ruined it. It is under reconstruction and they are doing a marvelous job.

Katherina, the Greeks are all over Jordan, Jerash is a Greco-Roman site that had me believing I was in Greece or Rome. Petra is heavily influenced by Greek civilizations and there are inscriptions on the walls in the ancient Greek alphabet. Travellers that is what you are, ancient and contemporaty travellers leaving your influences all over the world.

Judy, Judy, Judy...Great photo, what a fantastic place to be! Enjoy your trip. And there is the moon, amongst the "petres" of Petra! (You realize that "Petra" is a Greek word, of course? :-)
