I like to "blog" here at our group, so this doesn't get buried in the many new blogs at IUOMA. Tis a little mail art piece from Herr Haptic Erni that came in today's mail! It is PERFECT! Perfect size (as it fit into my little mailbox without getting stolen, and also the mailgal didn't send me to the post office to wait for a "too large" package ;-), Perfect colors, images, feelings...tastes!

A collage by Erni is always a joy to receive, and this one have beauty...lovely lady, and lovely soft velvet red paper, too

Perfect Haptic Poetry, however, is on the address side of this lovely collage:

It has become known here at IUOMA as ChocoMailArt...REAL chocolate this time in the mail from Erni, not just a wrapper or two? (a rapper...?)

Carefully opening it (it is a small piece):

Lifting the GOLD paper, what will be underneath?

oh, yes, definitely CHOCOLATE this time!

mmmm, good color, nice texture,

oh, yes, "Feel the Art", right down to my tummy!

Here's lookin' at you kid! Thank you Erni...all gone ;-))))

Completely understand...Cavafy's poetry sings to me. You inspired me to take his words and make a little boekie or two...thanks for the incentive. But I must warn you, my simple little printer does not have water-proof inks, so if you get teary-eyed be careful not to make the colors run. It is coming in a plastic baggie, just in case it gets tossed in a Minnesota snow drift! Or, eaten by monkeys...or...
