OK, as promised, here's a look at the postcard that I received yesterday from Amy Irwen. It's a lovely piece, and thanks so much!

It came in a plastic envelope with stitching. Here's the "art side" ...

As you can see, the postcard came in a plastic envelope with stitching. My husband Andrew asked me to open the envelope so that we could see the entire address side ... enjoy!

I enjoy yarnbombing too, but it doesn't remain in place very long in my own city. Whenever I see some --- and whenever I have my camera handy --- I take photos so that I have a copy.

I just joined this group, so I should introduce myself. While growing up, I learned how to sew, embroider, knit, and crochet. I also enjoyed fabric painting and designed a lot of the dresses that I wore in high school and for college dances. While I don't do a lot of textile-based mail art these days, I occasionally receive some lovely work and I'd like to share it here.

I'm in the process of scanning a postcard that I received yesterday ... I'll be right back!

Mary, very nice....do you find that the city leaves the art alone?

Thank you guys! I'm a knitter, and I don't really do any projects right now that aren't specifically for yarnbombing. But I have made scarves and cowls in the past. :-)

It wouldn't take very long if I just sat down and worked on it all at once, maybe like 2-4 days. But I tend to do a little bit each day when I remember to, so it takes a lot longer. :-)
