Today, I received a set of six ATCs from an exhibition and swap. It's the type of thing where you send in six ATCs and receive a mixed set of six after the exhibition is finished.

This swap was sponsored by the MacKenzie Art Gallery and the Regina ATC Collective in Regina, Saskatchewan (SK), Canada. The gallery show ran from April through August, 2012. It's fun!

One thing that I noticed is that all of these cards either make use of fiber art media in some way or they honor the fiber arts.

For instance, the watercolor card at the top left uses cross-stitched threads to mend the broken heart. The card in the center depicts a quilt, and there's some text on the back of the card about the artist's grandmother's hobby of quilting using a treadle sowing machine.

Top row: (L) "Mended Heart" by Margaret Bessai of Regina, SK, Canada and (R) "Lumsden High School Dream Series (1/6)" by Breanne Dmytriw

Center: "Grandma's Quilt (5/8" by Marge Endicott of Canada

Bottom: (L) collage by Pat Tholl Sterzuk of Rouleau, SK, Canada,  (C) "Death of a wool garment by dryer [hat]" by Kewy Grammis, (R) collage by Pat Strakowski of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
