Rosa - looks fantastic :-)
Katerina - thanks for posting Alfonso's work - it really looks great. I posted all mine on the 5th of Jan too and not everyone has received either. I think it would be a good idea, even an inbox message to let the artists know once their work has arrived. That way there will not be a mad scrable at the end. Please remember the deadline is 1st March. That way this project will not drag out.
Now "W" from Alfonso arrived in Greece within hours from Italy, surely, (again, there is a daily midnight direct flight Roma-Thess)...and even the beautiful stamps were not cancelled! Perhaps they came via the WIND....and, as each and every one of Alfonso's "W" is unique, perhaps you would enjoy seeing Number 23/26?
lovely stamps, the manila package is simply lovely, too!
W is for the Wind, also for "wax"...wax on delicately textured paper that is torn...
a hand reaching out? a torn "w", a torn "K" for Katerina? ;-)
I just had to share this...it is also very "Haptic", you "Feel the Art" of Alfonso's waxed creation! Absolutely beautiful.
Cheryl...there have to be monkeys getting in and stealing in the mail system in South Africa! I sent you my "H" on January 5..(please make it arrive this week? )Then I wait, 12 days later, and I didn't send to Europe (and that includes Germany;-) until Monday, Jan.17. Of course, TicTac got it FIRST! within 36 hours just about. There are many DAILY direct flights from Thessaloniki to Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich...no need to even go through Athens. sigh.
so my plan was that "H" would arrive in South Africa first :-( Maybe next year?
It is in the mail really!
You may have to be patient and wait like Penelope? Courage dear girl!I AM SO HAVING A HAFFY!!!!
How come De Villo and I have ZERO anything??? And the rest of the world does??? How on EARTH can something posted 25km away NOT be here, but its in Germany, Greece. No way!!! :-(
