Here's a William Burroughs painting "It Exploded." Asemic suggestive, perhaps

Here is an example of a Gysin-Burroughs collaboration piece that has asemic writing as well as other elements:

Rub Out The World Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs

Good clarification, John. "Naked Lunch" does not contain asemic writing. I wanted to clearly establish for Samuel which Burroughs I meant = William S. Burroughs, author of "Naked Lunch." Asemic writing can be found in collaborations Burroughs did with Brion Gysin during the London era. Sorry for the confusion. Suggesting "Naked Lunch" is asemic is absurd - I realize this.

Burroughs hizo rextos asémicos, pero no en Naked Lunch - los hizo con pintura, y con pinturas aplicadas con un fusil.

pero Gysin sí hizo mucha escritura asémica

A warm welcome to Theresa Ann Aleshire Williams - a new member of Asemic Writing for Mail-Artists. Please look through the threads. There's a great deal of information here. Feel free to ask questions - group members are great with helping.

Tim Gaze, a designer and publisher of asemic writing sums it up beautifully on his website:

“It looks like writing,
but we can’t quite read it.”

Found this quote just now!

Hi group, Samuel Montalvetti (in book 2) asked about books by asemic writers to read (or look at). Great question. I'd like to hear some suggestions myself. I named Gysin and Michaux - those are pretty classic. Are there any actual books of asemic writing you think we should know about? If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 asemic books would you want to have with you?
