Event Description

This project is a first come first serve situation. I found an old box filled with 70 used military targets measuring approximately 8 1/2 x 11 inches.

With seemingly endless strife continuing around the globe it is becoming increasingly clear that anyone can now be a target. Holding to that premise I decided that these used targets would be a great way for people to share the struggles they have experienced, witnessed, or even just read about. It can be personal, political, social, environmental..... whatever it invokes in you! They can be decorated in any medium your heart desires.

The only restriction I have is to keep the original outside dimensions since they will be framed.

Once I have received them all back they will serve as the art for my first traveling art exhibition that coincides with my ongoing  picture framing and art education project (The Migrant Framer)- locations of exhibitions to be announced at a later date.

All you have to do is message me your address- I will send out the targets every Friday for the duration of the event, or until I run out- which ever happens first! The envelope will also include a scrap piece of paper to give a brief description of your inspiration for the piece.

This is a free event that only requires return packing and postage, please note NO pieces will be returned!

I will post the finished pieces as I receive them.

And feel free to check out the link below for more information about The Migrant Framer Project

Allan- I will be posting country & state origins to each piece. Artists are more than welcome to claim theirs on here, but the significance to these pieces come from the visuals representations and not the individuals...... And I have a stack to be sent out Friday- the response started to dribble over the winter so anyone who has sent me their address in last couple of months is in this stack!

Are none of the artists identified? Or am I just missing it?!
