Hello everyone,

I would like to start by saying that my English is very basic, which is why I am viewing the website translated into Spanish. I am also working from my mobile phone, so everything looks quite small and a bit tricky to navigate!

I am still trying to figure out how to send Mail Art to other members. I noticed that I cannot see people's postal addresses on their profiles. Do I need to add them as a friend or have a mutual connection to be able to see their address or send them art? Or should I send them a private message to ask for it?

I would really appreciate any help or guidance you can give me.

Please note that I have used a translator to convert this message into English.

Thank you so much!

Many mail artists share their postal address openly on their profile page, but not everyone does. If you can’t find someones address, you can add them as a friend and then send them a private message asking for the address. Of course some people are also no longer active here.

Ok ✌️

Thank you for your beautiful postcard. 🐟🐠

Ok ✌️

Thanks 😊

Here is what I learned on IUOMA. There are many inactive members, so it would be probably better to post a comment under their profile and ask them if they would be interested to exchanged mail art with you. If they answer to your comment, then exchanges can happen easily. You could exchange postal address via private message, but you can start sending private messages only after you add each other as friends. What I would not do on IUOMA is I would not send my mail art randomly unless I know they are active. If you keep checking IUOMA main page often, you can learn who active members are. Welcome and good luck ! 🌿🙋

Thanks 😊

It's doubtful such inactive folks would see a posting to their page on this site.  I would attempt to contact them through any other addresses or links they provided on their page.  Even those attempts never receive a reply at times.

One such person joined the IUOMA in 2009.  I sent a Friend Request in 2016 which has never received a reply.  He is http://iuoma-network.ning.com/profile/PieronymusKosch .

Given the avatar he provided, it is doubtful he is even alive so many years later.

well said bradford

I received your lovely postcard, thank you Bradford. 🤩

Of course, you could try to e-mail or contact through their website or their SNS kind of websites, but personally, I would not contact IUOMA members that way at all... I only try to contact IUOMA members only though IUOMA website communication, as I prefer that way a lot better. It is totally up to you, though.

Also, it is not that everyone on IUOMA would accept your friend requests. That is also something to
Keep in mind 🍀

In many profiles, their recent activity is listed first, and you need to scroll down to see the address (if there is one).

Ok, Thanks ☺️
